VLCC Pedicure-Manicure Hand & Foot Care Kit Review

I was very happy when this kit arrived from the brand as I had never tried a pedicure - manicure kit at home. Read on to know how this product fared.

Price: 480/- INR

My views:
I like the packaging of this kit. The tube packaging is hygienic and easy to use. The instructions and ingredients are written in detail on the outer packaging as well as on each individual tube.

I have used this kit on my hands as well as feet thrice so far and I must say I’m impressed.

Step 1
Pediglow Hand & Foot Cleanser – 50 ml

As per the instructions, you need to pour this cleanser in a bucket of luke warm water and soak your feet/hands for 15-20 minutes. Rinse and wipe clean with a towel.  This cleanser has a nice fragrance and it definitely removes all the dirt from the pores and fights infections and harmful germs.

Step 2
Myrrh cuticle oil – 10 ml

This oil has to be massaged for 10-15 minutes but I can afford only 5 minutes or else this entire procedure will take well over an hour. It claims to provide nourishment and make the skin smooth, supple and wrinkle free.

Step 3
Pediglow Hand & Foot Scrub – 50 g

This scrub has to be massaged on damp feet/hands for around 5-10 minutes. I do this for around 5 minutes only; after that wash off the scrub or remove with a warm and damp towel. This scrub effectively removes dead skin cells and stimulates blood circulation. My skin felt soft and smooth.

Step 4
Cocoa Butter Hand & Foot Cream – 50 g

This cream is quite good. You have to apply it on your hands/feet and massage well for around 10 minutes and then wipe off with a hot towel. I don’t feel the need to wipe it off as it gets absorbed pretty well.

Step 5
Orange Anti Tan pack – 50 g

This pack applies evenly on the skin and dries up within 8-10 minutes. This product is very effective in removing tan. It has lightened my tanned feet to a great extent. If used regularly it will help in evening out patchy skin.

There are different ways to use this kit in my opinion. Not all of us have the luxury to spend over an hour to follow all the instructions step by step. I try using this kit every alternate Sunday if I can spare the time. If you are short on time then you can try using each product separately. I sometimes use only the cleanser to clean my feet and then using a damp pumice stone I gently scrub the areas of rough skin for around two minutes using circular motion. This method effectively removes dead skin cells. I follow it up with the hand and foot cream. I do this once a week.

You can use the cuticle oil to massage the cuticles every day before bed. Next morning your nails will be smooth and moisturized.

The scrub can be used separately anytime you wish. I use it every fortnight. Similarly I use the hand and foot cream every day after a shower or soon after I use the anti-tan pack after a hot day.

You can try this kit the way it suits you the best. As far as the pricing is concerned I think that it is cost effective. This kit will last for atleast 12 uses and it is definitely worth it as a single trip to the spa/salon is expensive. The only con here is that the products contain parabens.

Rating: I would rate this product 4/5
