Plum Green Tea Face Care set for oily skin Review

Plum has a wide range of products which do not contain any of these harmful ingredients i.e. parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol, Sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), Diethanolamine (DEA) and Para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA). I have used a number of products from this brand and I’m already impressed with their products. In this blog post I am sharing my views on Plum Green Tea Face Care set for oily skin.

1)  Green Tea Pore Cleansing Face Wash

Price: 345 INR for 75 ml

Green Tea Pore Cleansing Face Wash is packaged in a tube having a flip top cap which shuts firmly and can be carried around safely. This face wash contains soft, natural cellulose beads which help in gentle exfoliation. It has a nice mild fragrance. Green Tea Pore Cleansing Face Wash contains ingredients like Glycolic acid which helps to remove older, surface skin cells gently and Green Tea which is an effective anti-oxidant.

A coin sized amount of this face wash lathers decently and is enough for the face and neck. It washes off easily giving the skin a nice clean and soft feel. This face wash effectively washes away excess oil and dirt. It has helped in keeping my skin clear and oil free.

I love the fact that this product is paraben free, SLS free and phthalate free. I have been using this face wash since May when the summer was at its peak and I can say that it has helped me big time. Green Tea Pore Cleansing Face Wash is suitable for oily skin throughout the year. It will not dry out the skin during the cold season as it is mild.

I would have preferred a 100 ml product though as I feel 75 ml is a bit less for the price.

2) Green Tea Alcohol Free Toner

Price: 380 INR for 200 ml

Green Tea Alcohol Free Toner is packaged in a sturdy bottle. One must be careful while pouring out the toner as you tend to get more than the required amount. This toner has a similar fragrance as that of the face wash. It is colourless and has a watery consistency. I have used this toner for over a month and I can see a lot of difference on my skin.

Green Tea Alcohol Free Toner does not dry out my skin like other alcohol based toners, instead my skin feels hydrated. My pores appear smaller. It contains Glycolic acid which helps to remove dead skin cells. When I used this toner for the first time, I felt a mild tingling sensation but a few uses later I did not feel anything. This toner also contains Glycerine which is a non-comedogenic emollient which results in skin that is softer to touch. This 200 ml bottle will last you for long. You need just a few drops of this toner.

I have used many toners till date but I haven’t come across such a lovely product as this does not dry out my skin and also does not contain any harmful chemicals. Oily skinned people will definitely love this toner. This product has performed way better than my expectations.

3) Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer

Price: 450 INR for 50 ml

Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer is packaged in a slim, sturdy bottle having a pump dispenser. Very thoughtful packaging I must say. You need just two pumps for the face and neck. 

This moisturizer settles into a nice matte finish which oily people are dying for! It does take a few seconds to get completely absorbed into the skin. Even though the finish is matte, my skin does not feel dry. In fact it feels moisturized yet oil free. Love it! 

During summer my skin remained oil free for a good 3 hours. I said ‘good’ as I have never comes across a moisturizer which managed to keep my skin oil free and also moisturize at the same time for that long during summer which is unbearable here in Goa. Since the last 3 days, the temperature has come down a bit and it is cooler at the moment due to the pre-monsoon winds. It will start raining anytime now. In this cool weather, this moisturizer keeps my skin oil free for around 4 hours. Can’t ask for more. I do have dry patches on my nose which is easily moisturized by this product.

Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer has a mild fragrance. I have used makeup over this moisturizer and it has helped to keep makeup in place. I think this is the best moisturizer for oily skin available in India so far.

I have used this set only for over a month now and my skin has never been better. I have lesser breakouts now and my skin feels soft and even toned. Do keep in mind that if you have oily skin which is prone to breakouts, keep your diet in check. One should not expect skincare products to do the job alone.

Plum Green Tea Face Care set will last me for atleast two more months and thus the pricing is justified. If you buy the entire set, it is much cheaper than the individual prices. I don’t mind spending on such products which are organic and safe for my skin.
