My shopping experience with

Hello everyone! Wishing you all a happy and prosperous new year! So my first review of the year is about my shopping experience with Read on to know more.

I am an online shopping addict. I don’t even remember when was the last time I stepped into an actual store/shop. I am extremely dependent upon online shopping websites for my needs.

I wear eyeglasses all the time at home. I prefer wearing contact lenses while going out. It was time for a change in eyeglasses as my eye power had slightly increased. Rather than going to an optician I thought of buying eyeglasses online. The first site that came to my mind was I had seen a lot of ads on social media. So before buying I did some research on Lenskart, read reviews and also watched reviews on Youtube. On their Facebook page the reviews were actually bad. I was in a dilemma whether I should really purchase eyeglasses online. I thought about this for nearly a month before I finally gave in.

I was using half rimmed eyeglass frame for the last four years so I decided to go for a change. This time I chose a cat eye frame. I didn’t want eyeglasses having nose pads as they tend to gather dust and become dirty over time. Therefore I chose this frame which doesn’t have nose pads and is thus easier to clean. Some people say that eyeglasses without nose pads tend to slip. This might be true for some but I didn’t experience this problem at all.

After choosing the frame, I had to choose the lens. I decided to take some advice from the Lenskart support staff. There is a live chat support option and your queries are answered quickly. I would have made a wrong choice had I not taken opinion from the Lenskart support staff. I sent them a photo of my power card and asked them to guide me to choose the best lens. Since my power is high, I was advised to choose Tokai lenses which are way thinner than the regular lenses. You can read the features of the lenses below.

As you can see in the picture above, there is a comparison between the market price and Lenskart price. The total cost of my eyeglasses (including frame) was around 7585/- INR but I got a discount and the total came up to 6084.75/- INR.

I would have never got this kind of service from a local optician. These opticians never bother to help the customer in selecting the right eyeglasses. I am glad I chose Lenskart.

The process of placing an order on Lenskart is simple. After selecting the frame and the lens you can pay via debit or credit card. There is also cash on delivery option at no additional cost. After selecting the payment method you can enter your power details manually or you can send a photo of your power card. I received my order within 4 days.

As you can see in the pictures, they also provide a screwdriver which is useful in tightening the eyeglass screws. A power card with your eye power is also provided.

The eyeglasses are packaged in a sturdy case.

They even sent me the Tokai lens packet.

I am extremely happy with the service provided by Lenskart. I also ordered eyeglasses for my dad, mom and uncle. After receiving my eyeglasses from Lenskart, I got them checked by my optometrist who told me that they were perfectly done.

When my dad received his order from Lenskart, he was not happy with the eyeglasses as the lenses were a bit thick for his preference. So he requested me to check with Lenskart whether they accept returns. I in turn wrote to the customer care and immediately I got a reply. I was told that the eyeglasses can be returned and that I could immediately place a new order. That day itself I got the amount which I had already paid for the old pair credited to my Lenskart account and I could place a new order even before the old order was picked up by the courier.

I am happy with the services provided by Lenskart. I will also order contact lenses soon.

  1. They sound like a great eyeglass company. Great review and new follower! Thanks for the Nivea peach tinted lip balm review too.

    1. Hey Cassandra! Your support means a lot to me! Happy New Year to you!

  2. My first trip to the eye doctor in many moons, and all I can say is that the selection of frames has certainly increased. I remember having a few dozen frames to choose from when I was younger. When we stopped by with my son this week, he had to choose from over two hundred frames. I needed a full day off from work.
